End of Summer

Today is the last day of summer. *sigh*. It seems only yesterday that I posted that summer was here and now it is over. How time flies! The grill did get used, but its use faded as the summer wore on. I did get in a few bike rides, a picnic and I went out sailing on Lake Michigan. And now we enter autumn, the days will get shorter, the weather more brisk. This is a time that I relish, too. A time to enjoy the colors as the leaves change and to soak in the last nice days until next spring/summer. Although the cold of winter is coming, the seasons remind us to appreciate the things we've grown accustomed to and taken for granted- like the nice weather, or whatever that may apply to in life.
