I spent two weeks out west with friends, Jean and Tim, visiting Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons and some of the Black Hills area in South Dakota (including the Corn Palace, Little Bighorn and Mt. Rushmore/Crazy Horse. It was outstanding! Spring was cool in the mountains, but was primetime for seeing wildlife at Yellowstone, especially babies. One highlight was seeing a baby bison JUST being born and taking his first steps! Another was a coyote that trotted along side our van for a few minutes. Coming from the midwest, the majestic mountains were even more beautiful than we could imagine. For a step back to winter, we took Beartooth Pass into the Yellowstone mountains, a winding mountain road, nearly 11,000-foot in elevation with lots of snow. It's hard to describe the beauty of it all, as it was overwhelming. Even pictures can not do it justice, however, I tried. ;) With about 1400 pictures from our two week adventure, you can enjoy the beauty along with us.
