Day 2 (Part 2)- Blue Mountains (That We Didn't See :)
Karen and I in the Blue Mountains
Still on only Day 2 of our trip, after the morning at the Wildlife Sanctuary, we buckled in and headed towards the Blue Mountains. I keep saying that as far as I'm concerned, there are not any mountains near Sydney! ;) It was an overcast day and when we got to our destination, it was so cloudy and foggy that we literally couldn't see a thing! We did get to see a few views along the way, take a walk in the rainforst and see a magnificent waterfall! Another high point was spotting a group of kangaroos in the wild... several of them just hopping along in a line was really neat to see!! In spite of the weather, we had a wonderful day seeing a little more of the surrounding Sydney area. We also had a great lunch that day- Karen had lamb and I had fish (Dori filets) and chips. On the way home, we took a boat back to Syndey Harbour and then took another boat over to Darling Harbour for a dinner of prawns and rissotto, which was delicious! The area may have been full of tourists, but the lights on the water and just lounging around at the harbor's edge on a warm summer's evening was just the perfect ending to this magnificent day! Several pics below of the day and as always, more pics at my photo website www.zanything.net
