Restaurant Review: Petterinos

(Shrimp Cocktail appetizer)

A friend mentioned that this restaurant, Petterino's, had a special of "7 after 7" of 7 different appetizer choices, 7 entree choices and 7 dessert choices- pick one of each for $19.95. They also had $7 glasses of wine and complimentary valet parking after 7pm. Because Petterino's gets a crowd for people that are going to the plays next door after dinner, this special seems to be offered after 7 to get other business after the restaurant empties of the the play-going people. You should call ahead to make sure the special is "on" for the month, and check the menu online, which changes with the season.

We thought this was a great deal for just the food, but to get free parking was a bonus I will likely never get again in this city (unless of course, I go back to Petterino's). I visited this restaurant before my current employment stint in the city, so was driving down with a friend. Currently, Pettrino's is listing this special on their website on the left hand side- click the link 7 after 7.

For the price, this was a great meal and the portions were nice-sized as well. I would not compare this restaurant to high-end gourmet places in the city, but I felt the food was above average, nicely prepared and the service was decent. We enjoyed our meal and the variety provided with the special. If you want to get into the city for a nice, reasonably-priced meal, I would recommend trying out Petterino's (after 7pm, of course)!
