Sepia Dinner

While attending this year's Chicago Restaurant Week, I tried out a new restaurant with friends Karen and Lynn called Sepia. My pictures didn't turn out all that well (iPhone in dark restaurants doesn't work very well). But, here are a few pics of the delectible desserts we sampled:

vanilla parfait, hazlenut crust, chocolate-orange sauce

citrus meringue tart, sparkling brut-raspberry sorbet

maracaibo mousse, mango ice cream, caramel-mango-rum sauce

Everything was excellent. In addition to the desserts, we sampled appetizers:
english pea soup, ricotta, mint
scotch duck egg with wild rice, arugula and black olive honey
grilled squid with fennel, orange, watercress

and entrees:
vegetarian lasagna with ricotta, piquillo pepper
bacon wrapped trout, rosemary vinaigrette, red bliss potato, watercress
cider braised pork belly, barbeque lentils, savoy cabbage slaw
